What are we going to have for dinner?

Sam: Ice Cream

Steve: Mommy, are we having ice cream for dinner?

Me: Sounds good to me.

(and please never mind the creepiness of having Steve call me Mommy...it was in context...you had to be there...it's not weird...NO IT'S NOT!)

You're not going to believe this but when I as growing up, my family had ice cream and cake for dinner every Sunday night. It was a lot of fun!
And no, neither my brother nor I had any nutritional problems or obesity issues.
Thanks for reminding me of a wonderful childhood memory.
Hope you enjoyed your ice cream.

Definitely not creepy on the Mommy front. However, I have told my husband that there are days I would prefer he call me by my name so I can remember what it use to be.

Sounds like a good dinner to me, can i have some?

Re mommy/daddy -- we do that too, even though before having kids it weirded me out to hear it and i swore never to do it!

Once my family did sundae Sunday and had sundaes for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was great... although i was a little disappointed that i actually found myself asking for some normal food about an hour later.

And ice cream for dinner... i used to do that, especially when i was single. I figured... I know I want ice cream, and dinner will just be extra calories.. so i'll just skip real food and move right into the ice cream.

mmm...
