When I read things like this, I am so thankful for the internet...and that there are amazing women out there who are not afraid to share their stories.
(I also realize what a hack I am at writing...but that is another story altogether.)

For years I didn't open Christmas cards at all. I just let them pile up and simply returned cards from our yearly list and possibly a few from whatever came in the mail, unopened. I couldn't stand the thought of what *might* be inside.
