Why is it some people can write cute little entries about being sick and I can barely find the correct letters on my keyboard to type out this boring entry? I have spent the last two nights sleeping upright in the recliner in the living room, simply so I could breathe. Great for breathing...terrible for my aging neck. I do believe all my insight and considerable wit are stuck somewhere in the snot in my head and will not be gracing this blog today.
The last time I missed work because I was sick...the doctors told me there was nothing wrong with me...nobody told me my baby could die.
I can't start crying or I won't be able to breathe at all.

Out Damned Snot! Who knew there would be a Shakespearian moment for a cold?
I hope you feel better soon ((hugs))
there's nothing cute about being sick. there's only the sometimes indignity of it, and from indignity sometimes springs comedy. your problem is that you're all dignified about being sick. look at you, sitting upright in a chair. there's no material there. if the chair was a recliner that snapped back on you, that would be funny (to your audience, if not to you). if you were stuck in that snapped up chair, and in the snapping process you're robe had gotten twisted up and left your underwear hanging out, and the ups man was at the door, banging away, and peering into the window to see if anyone was home and catching you in all your indignity, that would be damn entertaining. but no, you want to keep it all together, actually *breathe* and so forth - there's nothing cute in that.
seriously, i hope you feel better promptly, but at the latest by sunday so you can come over!
I hate being sick... actually i just hate not being able to breathe... everything else i can deal with. I just got over a 3 week hacking lungs filled with snot thing and it wasn't so bad because it never went into my nose. plus i got to freak the pg woman out who sits near me but coughing all the time...
ok... i did stay home for a day and a half when it started... i doubt i was contagious for 3 weeks.
hope you feel better soon.

Well, damn. That's no way to bring in the New Year! However, it's a fitting way for the year to end. A crappy end to a crappy year.
Here's to a speedy recovery and a wonderful 2006.
Hugs,
