#4 way to change the world

With the President and his family considering the adoption of a dog, I thought this would be a great week to highlight my very own Animal Protective League.

They generally operate at a financial loss, taking in homeless animals (and trying very hard to avoid euthanization by locating homes and rescues for them). Money and other donations are always welcome.

On behalf of all her friends still in the shelter, Daisy says, "Thank you."

Oooooh! Daisy breaks my heart, she's so cute!

My Mom and Dad just had to put their cat down :( and I'm trying very, very patiently to wait a respectable amount of time before I start hinting that adopting an adult shelter cat is totally what they should do. Right now they're positive that they can't bear to have and lose another cat, so I will have to be very delicate with my urging.

Our cat was an adult adoptee too, and I just can't imagine life without Lucy.
