He did not say that

For the record...the alleged quote...
"A strong government hand is needed to assure that wealth is distributed more equitably."

What was printed in the Wall Street Journal...
"Globalization and technology and automation all weaken the position of workers," he said, and a strong government hand is needed to assure that wealth is distributed more equitably.

Please note where the quotation marks are...and what the context is before you forward me this stupid email/misrepresentation/lie one more time.

I'm sooo right there with you. I have received countless worthless political slam emails over the past few days, each one alleging crazy outlandish quotes and positions. Every single one of them has been false - and it only took 10 seconds to figure that out on the 'net - I wish people would really read what they are forwarding to every single person they know, and oh i dunno, maybe check to see if it's true? grrr
