Television privileges restored

Is it a good or a bad thing when your child is writhing on the floor in front of the television singing, "TV...I love you...I love you so much..."?

After finding my son playing inappropriate computer games on a site I previously assumed to be family friendly, I invited Playstation2 into my home. I'm sure everyone expects me to complain about my husband and my son playing games too much...but that's not at all what I'm thinking. What am I thinking?

I will have something to do on my maternity leave! Yes!

I hear you. I played it during my seven months of complete bed rest. Oh, the things we'll do for a live baby:)

Hmmm, now you have me thinking about some of the new games they have like dance dance revolution, and the exercise ones. Maybe I can play too?

Hilarious about the love song to the TV.

I never made up a song like that, but as a child, I looooved tv so much that, if nothing was on (in the days before 24/7 programming, obviously) I would sit and watch the test pattern.

Let me know if you want some shoot 'em up gangster games and I will send the ones that are collecting dust in the basement over to you. ;)

:) I think you might also have a couple of other things to do on your maternity leave, as well!
Hope you are getting your desk organized at work for your time away from there...if I'm figuring right, you just have about seven more work days, unless you intend to go in the day after Thanksgiving! As others have advised, just keep breathing, Catherine...in....out...in...out! You and Myles ( and Steve and Sam!) are just sooooo in my thoughts and prayers these days. Steve does realize that ASAP after giving you a big kiss in the C-section room, his next job is to find the nearest Internet access and let the world know of Myles safe arrival and lusty cries...right? Again...I'm holding my breath...you keep breathing!

Hi, I'm new to your site, sent here via some other blog, and was just gonna post the thumbs up on the PS2 playing, because I'm all over that.

Then I went deeper and read the rest of your blog. You don't need any words from me, but your story touched me. So thank you for sharing it.

Ha! I love it. I took my son's PS away for punishment...but it really punished me. :)
