Let me tell you, a fat old woman in her first trimester can NOT keep up with a skinny soon-to-be-five-year-old hopped up on sugar at a hilly zoo. Man, am I tired! 
But at 35 years old I can now officially say that I have touched a stingray and held a lorakeet in my hand.Sam had a fabulous time (dinosaurs.at.the.zoo...need I say more?) and is currently zonked out in bed...still wearing his clothes. And that is the way he will stay.
After all, what good is a birthday weekend celebration if you can't pass out in your clothes and wake up late the next morning with a sugar hangover?Tomorrow, Thomas the Tank Engine and a cookout with the family.

Happy Birthday Sam! I hope you had a great time with Thomas, took a trip with him myself (and family) a few years back... He is cool!
Last years trip to the same zoo... waiting for the stingrays, in 90 degree heat, 5 months pregnant... didn't get to touch any stingrays, almost passed out got to spend the rest of the birthday trip in the nurse's station. But I did get to feed the birds :) I'm glad yours was a pleasant trip!! We will try again this year! :) I love the zoo!
