Freecycle baby

This is what shattered dreams look like...all packaged up and ready to "move on."

(This hurts a little more than I imagined it would when I offered it to the woman on freecycle.)

***It's gone. All of it. And it feels like half of my soul went with it.***
(Thanks Jenne...for the perfect description)

Email from Kris:

Hi,

I cannot begin to thank you enough for the WONDERFUL items I received from you today. EVERYTHING can be used. It is all in really great shape and VERY usable. I am sure to get a great deal of use out of it all. It's not very often you get something as wonderful as I have and I am enjoying every minute of everyday I use these things.

Thank you so very much !!

It doesn't feel so bad now. So I guess that's something.

Must hurt a lot :( but very generous of you to give it away.

I got rid of everything at our garage sale this summer. It hurt to see people snub their noses at stuff I held precious. I should have done it through freecycle.

OH, I am so sorry. I know that must be hard. I'll be thinking of you.

Ouch. But if you are like me you'll want it to be used and it sounds like you don't want it hanging around your house.

I got rid of almost all of my baby stuff this fall too. I figure if for some odd reason I ever actually do have a need for it, I still have friends that are popping out kids that I can borrow stuff from. Or we can go get all the newest and fanciest stuff, right? They have really come out with a lot of cool stuff since Alex was a baby, 13 years ago.;)

Wow. What a big step. I left everything we had, including all of the nersery furniture, for a woman in Vegas who didn't have the money to buy it. It felt good to help, but boy did it suck giving it up.

Hugs.
