More stupid things people say

-----------------------------------------
Steve's manager at work : Wow...x weeks? second trimester? You're out of the danger zone now.
-----------------------------------------
And the prize winner...(been stewing about this one for a few days)...

The letter from the lawyer declining to take our case to court...

Enclosed you find all the records in our possession (none were included by the way). We understand that what you went through was a tragedy and we offer our deepest sympathies. In many ways, however, it is better to simply move on now than prolong the suffering by filing a medical practice action that may not lead to any comfort or recovery for the two of you, and, by all accounts, was a tragedy not directly attributable to the neglect or recklessness of any physician.
-----------------------------------------
I DO NOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP!

Well that is my constructive comment. I still have that pile of bricks in my backyard, if you want to borrow some...

Wow. How idiotic and insensitive. I like Kate's idea of taking a brick and just....... Why do so many people need some decent common sense knocked into them??

Oh Catherine. What a horrible lawyer. I'm so sorry! I hope you find someone who will take your case. Don't give up! You are helping people by pursuing this, you know? They should never do to anyone else what they did to you.

And re the second trimester, it's frustrating, but I'm sure whoever it was had turned of his brain and was just trying to comfort you.

And woot for second trimester. Did the first one fly?

what a prick, that lawyer. I hope an unregistered, uninsured vehicle rear-ends him and flees the scene so that any lawyer will tell him he doesn't have a case. Insensitive bastard.
I'm sorry.

And the attorney who read all that paperwork when he met with you - which he didn't return - and asked which doctor you'd like to sue wrote this b..ls..t letter???? Wow. Do you think he's got splinters in his crotch from sitting on that political split fence???? I apologize my darling daughter for teaching you all those trite phrases like "honesty is the best policy" or "work hard and do the best you can" because that son of a whatever lawyer just made a monumental liar out of your mother. I am so very sorry my love.

I still get floored by some of the things that comes out of people's mouths. People just don't think. Screw them all.

People never stop to amaze us, huh? I can't believe the wording in that letter ... "move on now than prolong the suffering" ... because it's just so easy to "move on." Yeah, right.

And, thank you for your kind words you've left in my blog several times. I'm embarrassed that I didn't get here sooner, but I got lost on my way here. ;-)
