Still alive

Ultrasound showed GB still wiggling and kicking around in there.

My blood pressure is 120/70 and my placenta is anterior.

Next appointment two weeks from now. Then another two weeks. Then every week until we pass "a certain point" (OB's words)...the "mystery bump in the road" (my words)..."D-Day" (Steve's words).

I scheduled seven appointments at one time and the receptionist asked why. I told her. She was very apologetic. Why did she feel the need to ask in the first place? As long as they're paid for, I should be able to get all the appointments I want.

My "frank" conversation with the receptionist caused one very pregnant woman to walk out of the waiting room. I feel bad. On the one hand, I want women to know it can happen to them. On the other, I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

I'm having nightmares about Jessie Davis.

I guess that's all the news that's fit to print. I will probably think of more after I get rid of this post-appointment headache.

Hooray-always good to see wiggles-it never gets old, does it? I have an anterior placenta as well-irritated me greatly until this one was big enough to let me know that she was there.

I hate when receptionists pull what can only be defined as a power trip-who cares? Got insurance, will book. I hope that she thinks twice before being so nosey again.

Great! I'm glad you had a good check up! One of the receptionist at my doctor's ofc is like that too. SOOOO irritating!
I've been following the jesse davis story too. freaks me out! its different when it happens so close to where you live!! I can understand why you've been dreaming! praying for ya! :)

I am so happy to read your excellent news. Wiggles and lovely little heartbearts are the best of news.

I am curious why the lady walked out of the waiting room. Couldn't handle the reality check or trying to stuff down emotion re: a loss of her own? Likely option #1, but I always wonder.... So many people go the "stuffing" route with their grief and really can't handle any reminders...

P.S. The word verification is "zohead". I think that's funny. :)

I was going to make up a little cheerleading cheer, but then I thought I'd spare you the mental image. ;-)

Yay! for good news at the scan. Glad they want to see you so often, it never gets tiresome knowing everything is as it should be.

So glad for the good scan!

You weren't telling the other woman, the receptionist asked you. We're not contagious for goodness sakes, but Delphi makes the best point about that.

You reference to coming to visit Kate on her blog and now Jessie Davis makes me think we're not all that far apart. Her story is all over the place here too, so horribly frightening.

I'm so very happy for you that GB is doing so well! Whatever you're doing, keep doing it! :-) (if only it were that easy, huh?) I am so glad that s/he is happily proclaiming her/his existence by dancing for you at each ultrasound peek. Yay!!

One more scan under the belt. *hugs*

*letting out a little more breath*

You are always in my thoughts Catherine. May the news continue to be good and "D-day" become a day that passes with nothing more than the letting out of one huge sigh...

Love to you all.
