See you weren't thinking ahead there... you had all that remodeling work done and you didn't have central vacumming installed?! Michael used to like "take mine apart" to *clean* it. Ahem. When we built and I insisted on central vac I felt TOTALLY justified.
You can get duct tape at dollar general for a buck. I've invested half my paycheck on the stuff. My sympathies to your appliances. Sorry, Steve. ;-D
