Imagine the second floor on the left side of the house will be taller and there will be a second floor across the top of the right side of the house (where there currently is only a roof). The enclosed front porch will be converted to an open front porch with a porch swing.
The very first hole in our upstairs closet. We had to locate our fireplace chimney. I am soooo ready for this to get started!

OOh how exciting! I think your house is lovely. And I'm jealous of all the outdoor space you have! Good luck living through the building/construction phase, but I hope it alls goes smoothly and that you love the finished product.
I hope they are letting YOU wield the crowbar to make those holes? If not, just TAKE it and start swinging. Believe me, there is something extremely cathartic in smashing stuff....
The problem is then you gotta build it up again...take it from the queen of shellac...
