Uh Hello

Am I being oversensitive?

My boss sends out pictures via email of his beautiful granddaughter. They make me cry.

**additional fun moment from today**

A co-worker asks me, "If you had to have a pet put to sleep, what would you tell your son?"

I looked at her incredulously and said, "Well, the pets are the least of my worries at this point."

**

Is it just me?

People in office's are stupid. All of them. I keep getting the routed slips to sign cards and donate money for baby showers and the emails of mom in the hospital holding the new baby. Why do these people not think about someone other themselves!!

ok, maybe i'm not the best person to comment here. i'm in an angry ranting sort of mood... and people in my office often take a lot of my mental frustration (which is maybe not fully warrented).

No. I'd say it was insensitive of those people. I'm so sorry you had to be put in those positions.

I am stunned at the insensitivity of those people. I'm sorry you have to experience any of this.

These people you work with sound really dumbass and like they have a 5 second memory. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Yes, people are insensitive and self-centered. I found that after I lost my son, some people (those who weren't busy avoiding me) looked to me as the local grief expert. Your co-worker probably figured that you would have the perfect answer to her "dilemma," never stopping to think of how the question might be hurtful to you, considering what you've been through and that Sam has endured a lot more in his short life than the loss of a pet.

Some people are just so ignorant. The other day, my co-worker was complaining to me how tired he was, how depressed he was, how he was having stomach problems....I just stared at him, thinking NO, you are not telling me this....I just had a c-section and lost my daughter. I really don't think your depression and little stomach ache are something I care about right now!! Sorry for the rant. Let me just say, I know how you feel!
