The year of suck

And the good news keeps rolling on...

Grandma is at home with hospice care. The doctors say she has massive stroke damage and only has a year to live, at most.

Two of five fish died.

There is apparently some sick baby boom going on...as EVERYWHERE we go (even watching the dang television), there is another massively pregnant woman or a woman who has just given birth (or two or three or four...).

Will someone please just beat me over the head with a baseball bat and get it over with already???

Is it too pessimistic to suggest that certain people get crappy luck and some people get good luck regardless of who deserves what? And you only get one or the other? Hmmm, yup, pretty pessimistic, but you can only believe what you live right?

I'm really sorry about your Grandma. I hope she feels the love of her family through her injury.

I'm surrounded by babies and pregnant women, and today I thought, very briefly, that clearly we're going to have to move. We won't, of course, but damn, some days it's a lot to bear.

I'm sorry you're surrounded too.

I'm also very sorry to hear about your Grandma. I hope the hospice care works out well for her and she can be comfortable and at peace.

I hope if I say this has all got to bottom out soon and your luck will turn around.

Because you can only scrape the bottom for so long. Does that help at all?

Your strength is amazing, though.

I can't believe you haven't gone over to personally choke those chodes at your doctors office with the reminders.
