Wish me luck

I had a craving for chocolate chip cookies. But thanks to an earlier craving for chocolate, I only have a half a bag of chocolate chips (and a bag of holiday M&Ms...red & green). I also do not have any baking soda, only baking powder. Further, I am missing Vanilla extract and only have almond extract.

So...I improvised.

I hope they're good. It would be a shame to waste chocolate chips and/or M&Ms.

Not bad. Quite cakey and a little almondy. But not bad.

The almond vs. vanilla sounds good. But the baking soda vs. powder... yikes. You're brave.

Glad to hear that although they weren't pretty, they were fine! (And, shall I presume, gone?)

I had a craving for cookies yesterday but I am lazy and went and bought some. Also I am not the best baker. There is no way I could have baked the cookies without the right things to do it with. My hat goes off to you.

when i am doing the iron chef routine to deal with a cookie craving, if i don't have the baking soda, i leave it out - baking powder pushes them too far the other way. in my experience.
