The Polar Express
We bought the DVD yesterday afternoon. As of this moment we are watching it for the third time. It's not the Wiggles Christmas video we had to suffer through a zillion times last year...so I guess that's good. But am I the only one that doesn't understand all of this movie? I feel like I need Cliff's Notes to understand it all...no matter how many times I watch it.

I have the book. Never saw the movie. I understand the movie only bears a passing resemblance to the movie.
The book is sweet. Not necessarily my favorite Christmas story, but sweet.
We bought it for my neice and watched it when they were here on Thanksgiving. I was disappointed in the movie. Not sure what I expected but I was hoping for more. :( Like you, there were parts I just didn't get. And I don't get why they felt it necessary to make it so scary. Not that it scared Philip but had Bella not fallen asleep I'm not sure she would have liked it much. It was a little weird.
Everyone else I know loves it though. I guess I'm just a weirdo. LOL
