The attorney reviewed his standard contract and decided not to charge us for just getting the nurse practitioner or the doctor's opinions. We don't have to front $1000.
We got a $15 check as a refund for Alex's stillbirth certificate. Not only does Ohio offer them...the first one is free...their mistake.
The monument company sent us a paid in full receipt for Alex's headstone when we thought we still owed them money.
That's it...all wrapped up in dollars and cents. A life not lived still leaves behind a trail of checks and bank statements, contracts and bills. How very strange.
