The cost of mailing a letter will increase to 39 cents on Jan. 8. Even at its cheapest, a greeting card costs $0.50. I'm really going to have to like you to send you snail mail at these prices. I wasn't going to send Christmas cards this year...but maybe I will send them for one last year before I get priced out of the market.

I buy cards at after-christmas sales and sit on them for a year...so that helps. Wish i could do the same with the stamps!!
Last two years I've made 'em on the computer, but that's only after finding bargain boxes of computer-ready cards at a dollar store (that were actually ATTRACTIVE!). Who knows what I'll have energy to do this year...
Sam's has photo cards CHEAP. Seriously. I think we got a box of 100 with envelopes for under $40 last year. (Yeah, I send out a LOT of cards.)
We're doing it again this year. Trying to talk husband into drawing it.
