Tomorrow is the autumnal equinox signifying the first day of autumn. I survived the summer I wasn't sure I would survive. I should be happy.

Most people I know look at fall as the "end" of things. It gets cold, the leaves die and fall off, and we are plunged into darkness. I don't see it that way. Fall is my favorite time of year. I think of it as a new beginning. All the crap that's built up so far this year shrivels up and goes away. We rake it up and start over. I can't wait for it to start getting cooler...
