And no, I really don't watch much TV. I do, however, spend too much time playing solitare and browsing blogs. I have recently begun anew, promising myself a chapter or two a night before bed. But I'm starting light; I'll get back to the "great" books in my own time.
Oh, and by the way, we hit 50 degrees today. Spring is almost here, sweet bejeezus, and I'm going to start gardening again (she promises herself for the 3rd year in a row).Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04531843578369399243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8836584.post-24375780685305800122007-03-09T19:15:00.000-05:002007-03-09T19:15:00.000-05:00scrapbooking - I didn't know you like scrapbooking...scrapbooking - I didn't know you like scrapbooking! Good luck with your reading. :)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16516027006737818418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8836584.post-7619002083943396562007-03-09T11:58:00.000-05:002007-03-09T11:58:00.000-05:00Yeah, you get a pass on Ulysses. Works good as a doorstop, though.

When they came out with that '100 best books of the 20th century', i was frankly appalled at how few of them i had read, so i used that as a list for awhile (skipping Ulysses, even if it was number 1 or something stupid like that). I got through alot of them because at the time i would go to the gym, and read while doing the stairmaster.

On my 'own time', i prefer lighter reading...say, the back of the cereal box ;)katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16536809590856333391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8836584.post-84393480277049619442007-03-09T11:07:00.000-05:002007-03-09T11:07:00.000-05:00I guess I'm seconding the Ulysses comment... If you ever start it let us know, and maybe I'll try to read along with you. :)

I was just searching for a list of books to read. I made a list of some of last years NYT top picks, but think i may pick some off this list too.

Maybe I'll do a post/list of what i've read. Except I may also mark the books that I know enough about to know that I don't really want to read them.

You may feel frustrated that you haven't read as much as you would have liked to, but that can always change. DOn't beat yourself up too much. You do so much more than most people in so many other areas.

:) happy reading! And thanks for inspiring me to get some more books from the liabrary.SWHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06571144622886527378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8836584.post-48467234382186880322007-03-09T10:22:00.000-05:002007-03-09T10:22:00.000-05:00Catherine - Uh, good luck with Ulysses.
